An Ode to Non-productive Writing Days

Poet's Sleep, 1989, by Chang Houg Ahn

Some writing days are better than others … I wonder if the poet was having a bad day?
This week a little ode to those non-productive days courtesy of Tess at Magpie Tales.

He works with words
And rhythm and rhyme,
He writes and scribbles
Line after line.
His thoughts and ideas
May be big and bold
From the colourful mind map
Near the paper fold.
He changes the ink,
He swaps the pen
The Magpie challenge
Hurrah, Sunday again!
But inspiration fades
To a silent peep
So he lowers his head
And falls asleep!

Wishing everyone a successful writing week.
